Crawley Rugby Club is bursting with pride as we celebrate the incredible achievement of Holly Jackson, who has been selected for the England U18s!
Holly’s journey began right here at Crawley, pulling on the club shirt from U7 to U12. Back then, we didn’t have a dedicated girls’ section, so Holly continued her rugby journey with Horsham RFC—proof of the amazing work Sussex Rugby is doing to grow the women’s game across the county.
But here’s the exciting part: times have changed.
Crawley Rugby Club now has a thriving girls’ section and a Senior Women’s team, meaning girls like Holly can now start, stay, and succeed right here at Crawley.
Michael Wiltshire, Crawley RFC’s Youth Chairman, and Holly's coach at Crawley RFC reflected on Holly’s achievement:
"Seeing Holly reach this level is inspiring. She’s a testament to the talent that comes through our youth setup, and it’s brilliant to know that girls coming through now don’t have to move on like she did. We’ve built something special here for girls’ rugby, and this is just the start."
? And with the 2025 Rugby World Cup coming to England, there’s never been a better time to get involved. Whether you're dreaming of an England shirt like Holly or just fancy giving rugby a try, Crawley Rugby Club is the place to be.
Inspired? Come down, join the team, and be part of the future of women’s rugby.
